You know, standing behind the camera and watching all this food being prepared is incredibly tough. You can probably see the way I gaze at it with pure admiration, as the dishes come together just a meter away from me. But now, at least, I know how to cook pork steak properly. Still, I patiently wait until the shoot is over before I literally run to taste it. And later, rewatching the finished videos, I recall the flavors and even regret not having taken bigger bites during the tasting.

Writing about steak while not being able to eat one right now feels like torture. So I’ll stop typing and go grab something to eat.

Pork Steak with Fragrant Apples

Ingredients:

  1. Pork on the bone
  2. 150 ml Apple Cider
  3. 4 small apples
  4. 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  5. 1 onion
  6. 1 tbsp Paprika
  7. Pepper to taste
  8. Rosemary to taste
  9. 1 tbsp Olive oil

 

 

Instructions:

  • First, the meat needs to be marinated.
  • Crimean onion should be finely chopped and added to the meat. Also, add soy sauce, pepper, paprika, and rosemary.
  • Remove the meat from the marinade and place it on the grill grate.
  • Grill for 20–25 minutes, turning it occasionally and basting with the marinade using a brush.
  • Cut the apples in half and add them to the grill alongside the meat.
  • Grill until they develop characteristic grill marks.
  • Once grill marks appear, transfer the meat and apples to a skillet. Add the apple cider and simmer on the grill until fully cooked.
  • While simmering, baste the meat with the juices.
  • Serve the meat together with the apples.
