New Year’s Cocktail with Whiskey “Grandma’s Apple Pie”

One of the most original ways to feel the New Year spirit I experienced this year was through the New Year’s cocktail with whiskey “Grandma’s Apple Pie.”

Honestly, New Year’s Eve for me is all about warmth and coziness, the light bustle of family members cooking delicious dishes, smiles, and festive melodies. And also about my grandmother, who always made a wonderful apple pie.

Just a couple of days ago, during a shoot at my favorite restaurant “Whisky Corner” in Kyiv, I felt the holiday spirit. Not just any holiday spirit, but I suddenly became a little boy again, running in from the cold to my grandmother’s house, where she handed me a big slice of warm apple pie, straight from the oven.

You’ll laugh, but these associations flashed through my mind after I took a sip of the cocktail that the restaurant’s head sommelier, Oleg Kozlovsky, made for me.

“Feel like a child, try this whiskey-based cocktail,” Oleg said, handing me a glass of the warm drink.

And it was at that moment that I realized what I would be making on New Year’s Eve for my family.
