Oleksandr Slyadnyev
Oleksandr Slyadnyev is a food photographer and the founder of Food'n'Chef. He has photographed food and the people who cook it since 2006.
He started Food'n'Chef in 2012 to show the cooks behind restaurant plates, and since then has photographed more than a hundred chefs in their own kitchens: from three-Michelin-star dining rooms in Hong Kong to family kitchens in Odesa. He photographed the Ukrainian dishes for Larousse Gastronomique, worked for years in Hong Kong, Singapore, Milan, Barcelona and Istanbul, and now lives in New York, where he also teaches food photography.
Recipes credited to the Food'n'Chef kitchen are his own or were cooked with friends of the magazine. He is the author of the Food'n'Chef books.
